As a school music teacher of nearly 20 years, I am passionate about children learning musical instruments and the positive impact it can have their wellbeing and overall development. However, as a parent with a young child, I understand it can be difficult to know where to start!

Learning a musical instrument has incredible benefits on a child’s cognitive development but most instruments aren’t suitable for children to learn until they are around seven years old, and if your child is keen to learn, it’s important to capture that enthusiasm!

“First Note Academy” is a personalised programme developed to engage your child in the joys of learning a musical instrument, developing their skills across a range of age-appropriate instruments to help them choose which instrument is right for them.

Lessons will be tailored around your child’s individual needs; fun and engaging, but rooted in years of experience music pedagogy.
